Injustice has eaten deeply into the fabric of our nation. Justice has decided to side the unjust, the guilty rich is better than the innocent poor.  This poem narrates the daily ordeal in our society.

HAIKU POEM  HAIKU POEM is a type of short form poetry originally from Japan. Traditional Japanese haiku consist of three phrases that contain a    " cutting word" Japanese in a 5, 7, 5 pattern,and a seasonal reference.  However, modern haiku vary widely on how closely they follow these traditional elements. Haiku originated as an opening part of a larger Japanese poem, known as a  renga . These haiku that were written as an opening stanza were known as  hokku  and eventually writers began to write them as their own stand-alone poems. Haiku was given its current name by the Japanese writer  Masaoka Shiki  at the end of the 19th century. Modern Japanese haiku are also said to increasingly vary from the tradition of 17  on  or taking nature as their subject. In Japanese, haiku are traditionally printed as a single line while haiku in English often appear as three lines. WHAT IS POETRY? Poetry is a type of literature that conveys a thought, describes a scene or tells a story in a concentrated, lyrical arrangement of words. Poems can be structured, with  rhyming lines  and  meter , the rhythm and emphasis of a line based on syllabic beats. Poems can also be  freeform , which follows no formal structure.  The basic building block of a poem is a verse known as a  stanza . A stanza is a grouping of lines related to the same thought or topic, similar to a paragraph in prose. A stanza can be subdivided based on the number of lines it contains. For example, a  couplet  is a stanza with two lines. Poetry is visibly unique: a narrow column of words with recurring breaks between stanzas.
